LOS ANGELES + ORANGE COUNTY

Ride with me.

Born and raised in the Southern California beach and car culture—I grew up cruising the coast in search of good waves and obscure places to hike and adventure. From early on I felt a special connection to the ocean, music, art and twisty canyon roads. Fun-filled days of surfing, drawing and making films with a vintage 1966 Super 8 camera (that I still have today) kept me out of trouble and gave me a deep respect for Mother Nature. A defining moment in my life was going into one of the big professional art supply stores in Los Angeles around age 13. I couldn’t believe my eyes, this was no Aaron Brothers. I got my first light box, Prismacolor marker set, airbrush kit and some other goodies. I was hooked and things would never be the same.

Working at a large screen printing company throughout high school really fueled my creativity. I learned everything from prepping artwork and making screens to mixing colors and operating presses. My thirst for marketing and design began to take root. With an entrepreneurial spirit, I started Koko Surf Designs at age 16 just for fun. With a successful line of tees, hoodies and accessories being sold in the surf shops around town, I hooked up with a local shaper and began making custom surfboards. We created boards blending progressive shapes with stylized airbrushing. These experiences changed my life.

Hustling as a busy teenage entrepreneur motivated me to pursue a professional career in art and design. After graduating from art school, I set out on an admittedly obsessive mission to gain in-house and agency experience. From organic skincare to luxury automobiles, I’ve assisted many brands and organizations break through the clutter. My laugh lines are battle scars thanks to the characters I’ve collaborated with over the years. Mentored to work hard and have fun doing it, I’ve emerged a very well rounded creative.

Music and playing guitar, building and restoring cars, keeping fit, carving the canyons and eating good food are ways I (try to) find balance. Exploring the ocean, desert, mountains and interesting parts of the city are the ways I escape. It’s about discovering new rhythm, flavor, culture and artistic expression. With many years of diverse in-house and agency performance—I love what I do. Telling stories. Creating experiences. Building brands.

Let’s talk.
